Hello

I'm Srijith Chetla
an Aspiring Machine Learning Engineer

About Me.

Hey, I’m Srijith — part developer, part data whisperer, and full-time problem solver. I’m currently pursuing Computer Science with a specialization in Data Science at Vardhaman College of Engineering. My journey with tech started with curiosity and a keyboard, and it’s led me through hackathons, machine learning experiments, web apps, and more late-night debugging than I’d care to admit.

I’ve built things like an AI that spots underwater plastic waste using YOLOv8, and a platform that makes education more accessible for students with learning difficulties. I’ve organized events, won coding contests, and earned certifications from places like Stanford and IBM — but for me, it’s always been about building things that matter. When I’m not coding, I’m probably sketching out ideas, learning something new, or chasing down the next big project.

Eco Bot Project Preview

Eco Bot is an AI-powered solution designed to tackle underwater plastic pollution. Using a YOLOv8 object detection model, it identifies and locates plastic waste in underwater images or live video feeds with high accuracy. What makes Eco Bot unique is its integration with GPS data, enabling real-time mapping of pollution hotspots. Detected locations are visualized on an interactive map using Leaflet.js, helping environmental researchers and cleanup teams prioritize areas with high plastic density. Project Link.
